Fun from the last weekend. The bases for these tags were hand punched Christmas cards, a pine bough from one, metallic gold from the another. And tiny scraps of paper left from cleaning off my studio worktable  And white acrylic craft paint.  The coiled "bead" under the fern (dried from my yard) is a piece of hand stamped metal where the "N" ended up backwards.  I have yet to learn how

Do you have a same aversion to glossy papers that I have?  On their own I truly love glossy papers, but I don't like how they work in most of my mixed media projects.  Sanding takes away a lot of the gloss, and sometimes that is the look I like. Cousin Biggie is visiting this weekend 'cause his house is getting new wood flooring.  There was a fly-over by a jet formation on their way to the Daytona Speedway for the preliminary race ceremonies, we get a treat every year. Since I have a love for small pieces of art like inchies and these small handpunched tags, I work on them at the same time I am working on a focused project. It's a great way to utilize leftover tiny snippets of paper, beads, ink and paint. I handpunch the tags from backs of greeting cards or clean, but used, manila file folders while watching a good Bogart movie.  That makes them more valuable.
